USA, we’ve got some exciting news for you! We’ve partnered with Impact Change, a US-based organization that this week, launches a new app ‘ChangUr’ which gives people a simple, effective means to combine and amplify the impact of digital spare change and importantly, empower communities in need.
Through this partnership, we’re giving our US staff, customers and other supporters a new way to engage with us via a digital platform and contribute to Cotton On Foundation projects.
The ChangUr website and app are powered by a patent protected technology vehicle that enables users to round up change from their bank transactions, to a pre-determined amount, safely and securely. Users can make a one-time donation to a charity of their choice such as the Cotton On Foundation, or watch the impact of their spare change as it accrues over time.
“We’re always looking for new ways to engage our customers and staff, and to take action that inspires lasting change. Whilst we do this, we know that people are busy! That’s why we’re really excited to be working with an organisation like ChangUr that has such a unique approach, and that utilises a digital, user-friendly platform to create significant change,” commented Tim Diamond, Cotton On Foundation General Manager.
Launching at the Forbes Under 30 Summit on October 6, 2015 at the Philadelphia Convention Center, the Cotton On Foundation is one several charitable organisations featured on the new platform.
Randall Lane, Editor of Forbes magazine, said, “We’re excited to have ChangUr launch at the greatest gathering of young leaders, the Under 30 Summit. It’s an innovative platform to financially support charitable organizations - it can tackle global issues in a cutting-edge way.”
By focusing millions of small donations from users across the country onto the world’s most pressing challenges, ChangUr amplifies the impact of each donation.
ChangUr highlights non-profit organizations with a proven track record of integrity, purpose and impact, providing them with an opportunity to scale their fundraising, outreach, mission and vision.
“The issues we face are complex and we need to get more creative about how we tackle them. ChangUr provides an entirely new way to combat global issues such as poverty, education, and health by empowering millions of people to take small actions that collectively have a tremendous impact,” said Jerry Deifer, Co-Founder and CEO of ChangUr.
